by Scot Becker
Presented at the 2001 DAMA International Symposium in Anaheim, California, this presentation contained a brief overview of object-oriented processes, the typical use of data modeling techniques within those processes, and some pros/cons of object-oriented processes. It then provided a brief introduction to Object-Role Modeling, a conceptual data modeling technique, provided some guidelines for using ORM in an object-oriented process, and discussed the pros/cons of this approach as illustrated via a case study. This presentation was based on the article of the same title found here.
